We expect to start harvest in Arizona on August 15th and in California around August 29/30th. So far it looks to be a good crop with good nut fill in the orchards we have visited. Market remains stable with moderate buying/selling activity. Most buyers and sellers appear willing to wait to see how the crop will develop as we are so close to harvest.
PECANS
Revised inventory numbers from American Pecan Council have not had too much effect on the market. With the lower estimated crop for 2023 and a very manageable carry over prices remain stable.
ALMONDS
There seems to be decent interest in new crop inshell, but prices continue to drop as sellers and buyers look to find common ground. New kernel prices seem to be a bit more stable. We expect prices to continue to fluctuate as the new crop comes in.
VALUE ADDED PRODUCTS
We are pleased to announce that we are now offering butters, flavoring, roasting, and dicing on limited quantities of pistachios, pecans, and almonds. Please inquire further for more information.
