Top o' the Bulldog to you!

So lucky to have great volunteers

We just wrapped up an awesome weekend at the North Texas Irish Festival! Special thanks to all our volunteers who came out to help at our booth, especially the die-hards who helped with set-up, tear-down and worked all three days! WOWZA! We couldn't have done this without them.

We're also so grateful for our little lucky charms ~ our beautiful Bulldogs ~ who helped draw attendees to our table. Hopefully, some of the folks we met will submit applications soon!

Check out this album to see all the pics we snagged at the event.

On the road to happiness

Through a special partnership with Adopt-A-Bull Underdogs, we've been able to get six of our long-term foster dogs moving and grooving north! The Montana-based rescue group agreed to help us place Charlie Bob, Coco Mellon, Jax Preston, Olivia Lynn, Greta Leigh and Lentil. We weren't having much luck finding them suitable families because all of them needed homes without other dogs. Please send your love and gratitude to Adopt-A-Bull Underdogs. We're so grateful that we could team up for this "Six Pack of Paws!"

Do your part for rescue

And do yourself a favor~ order one of these cool new pieces from our friends with Duke & Winston! Not only do they help you show your support of Bulldog rescue (we ♥ walking billboards!), the purchase of the items support rescues' lifesaving mission. To place your order, check out this page.

You can choose which rescue you want to donate to from the dropdown (HINT: we'd recommend Lone Star Bulldog Club Rescue.... wink, wink). Duke & Winston will donate 50% of sales after production expenses back to that particular group. We'd love to have your support!

Celebrating some of our recent awesome adoptions

Some of the country's top Bulldogs are coming to town

Lone Star Bulldog Club and Fort Worth Bulldog Cub are hosting their 15th annual Texas Two Step Bulldog Specialties at the fairgrounds in Denton March 15-17, and you're welcome to come watch the shows!

About 50 Bulldogs from across the region will be competing for the coveted title of Best in Specialty Show at each of the four shows. On Friday, March 15, we'll start at 5 p.m., on Saturday, March 16, we'll start at 10 a.m. and on Sunday, March 17, we'll start at 9 a.m.

A few key notes:

  • The shows are BYOC (bring your own chair)!
  • The show room is relatively small, so it may be best to leave any kiddos at home.
  • Only dogs registered in the shows are allowed at the show site, due to American Kennel Club rules.
  • Rescue will have a merch table in case you need some "goodies to go."

Got questions? Shoot them our way: info@dfwbulldogrescue.org.

A few of our favorite things: Bulldogs, pizza and YOU!

We'll be visiting Campisi's in Rockwall next month and we hope you can swing by for a quick bite.

We're inviting our foster families, so some foster dogs may be in attendance. You'll also be able to meet some of our volunteers to learn more about our rescue program and ask your Bulldog-specific questions.

If you have a buddy who is considering a new dog, bring him along so he can be indoctrinated to the magic of the Bulldog breed.

We'll be at Campisi's located at 2115 Summer Lee Dr., #105, Rockwall, TX 75087 on Sunday, April 7 from 2 to 5 p.m. Please RSVP via our Facebook event page and invite your friends.

Many thanks to our friends at Campisi's in Rockwall for hosting this gathering for us!

Going once, going twice..... SOLD!

We're planning to host a Facebook auction June 27-30, 2024, to benefit Lone Star Bulldog Club Rescue and we want you to join us!

We're gathering our items for the auction block now. We know that some of you would like to donate goodies too, which is AWESOME!

If so, please send us an email to iinfo@dfwbulldogrescue.org. We'll need to have your donation IN HANDS by June 13.

Please note: we will have a limited number of items in the auction to help us better manage it. If your contribution does not make it into this auction, it will be used in a silent auction at a future fundraiser or in a future online auction.

All funds raised through this event will help offset the vet bills we incur while helping Bulldogs in need. Every dollar raised is important to us because we constantly have a number of dogs to treat. We often have more than 70 dogs in our care at any given time.

Bulldog history

On April 10, 1975, CH Hetherbull Arrogant Lazarus UD became the first AKC Champion Bulldog to attain a Utility Dog Obedience title. He was owned and bred by Jean and Robert Hetherington. Check out this page to learn more about Bulldogs throughout history.

We. Need. More. Help.

We are in dire need of more foster families in the Dallas/Fort Worth area! We'd love to find some helping hands who can fill in when are other foster families are out of town. The time you give will be brief, but the difference you make will be everlasting. Message us to learn how to apply and join our lifesaving team!

Have you met some of our other

 foster dogs?

If you are interested in adoption, you must first fill out an adoption application, which can be found on our website. The application lets us know what you're looking for and if you are approved, we can help determine which one of our dogs may work best for your family.

Our mission
Lone Star Bulldog Club Rescue is a non-profit, completely volunteer-driven group dedicated to saving and rehoming Bulldogs
with loving families.

LIVE. LOVE. RESCUE.

Hundreds of Bulldogs are lost, abandoned, taken to animal shelters, or surrendered to rescue every year. Lone Star Bulldog Club Rescue accepts Bulldogs whose owners can no longer keep them, and retrieves Bulldogs from shelters and undesirable situations. Our Bulldogs are placed in suitable homes as soon as reasonably possible.
