Hospice and Palliative Care Month
with Compassionate Care Partners
| |
A Good Book for a Hard Season
November is Hospice and Palliative Care Month, and Compassionate Care Partners has partnered with the Bermuda National Library to share a reading list for anyone touched by serious illness, caregiving, or loss.
Caring for someone we love can be the most meaningful work we ever do, and also the most tiring. Sometimes a book can help: a practical guide at 2 a.m., a memoir that makes us feel less alone, a story that gently opens a conversation we did not know how to begin.
The list includes practical guides, memoirs, and novels for caregivers, for those facing the end of life, and for families looking for ways to talk about it together. We are especially proud that it features Bermuda titles, because some comfort is best found close to home.
Visit the display at the Bermuda National Library, borrow a book, and share it with someone who might need it. Prefer to read at home or on the go? You can also download featured titles through Libby.
