Hello!
This last Message in my Change the World series reminds us to be purposefully outer-directed. To create far-reaching ripple effects through our individual small positive actions, we have to toss stones into the lake, rather than just into our kitchen sinks. It is easy to become self-absorbed in the demands of our daily lives. We might tune into the news on television or the internet, though if that is all we do, the world is only coming to us through a screen. If we are to truly change the world for the better, we need to wade in, ready or not, and we might have to get our feet wet.
I found this week's vigilant egret in a wildlife refuge near Cape May, NJ. There were dozens of swans in the inlet as well, which explains the bits of white feathers everywhere. Enjoy!
Sincerely with love,
Emmie Derise
