Fall Conference Sign Up

Dear Indian Hill Elementary School Families,

Fall Conferences are a fantastic time to connect with your child's teacher about their school experience this year. The goal for our teachers is to have an individual conference appointment with each child's family.

Please use this Google site to set an appointment with your child's teacher by clicking on the teacher's name under their photo. The link goes directly to their individual google calendar. Conferences are held in person unless you request an alternate format. We are happy to accommodate!

You can use this site to set up a conference with a Unified Arts teacher as well. Please keep in mind that they see over 500 children and have approximately 25 spaces for meeting.

If your child works with an intervention teacher, they will reach out separately regarding their conference times during this same window.

Thank you for working so closely with us to ensure a successful year for your child.

Important!

Please Read!

Dear Parents and Guardians,

Representatives from Scouting America (Boy Scouts) will visit our school during lunch times on October 14 to share information about Scouting opportunities and programs.

This visit is being provided in accordance with Ohio Senate Bill 19 (R.C. 3313.476). Under the law, Ohio public schools are required, upon request, to provide qualifying federally recognized youth organizations an opportunity each school year to share information about their programs with students. The law also requires schools to notify parents or guardians of an upcoming presentation and provide families with the option to withhold consent for their child to participate.

Qualifying organizations under the law include federally recognized youth organizations that promote patriotism, workforce readiness, and civic involvement.

If you do not want your child to participate in the Scouting America informational session on October 14, please complete the brief online opt-out form below.

*Note~ All visits with the Scouts will occur during lunch and students "opting out" will be offered an alternative location to eat .

https://forms.gle/nEtLyhbHtCNBrptJ6

Students whose parents or guardians complete the opt-out form will not participate in the presentation.

Thank you for your attention.

Please note: Activities presented within this section of the newsletter are not sponsored by or affiliated with the District. Participation is entirely optional and at parents'/guardians' discretion. We are sharing this opportunity because it may be of interest to families and offers programming/events not provided by the District.

Pick Up Patrol

As we gear up for the new school year, we are using PickUp Patrol again to handle all of our daily dismissal changes.

For our returning families, you know the drill!

For our new families, PickUpPatrol is the program we use instead of paper notes, emails, or last-minute phone calls.

All changes go straight to the teacher at the end of the day so everyone stays on the same page.

Returning Families:

Log into your existing account and take a quick peek to make sure your child's grade, teacher, and regular daily dismissal plan look correct for this year.

New Families:

Keep an eye out for a registration email from PickUp Patrol in the next few days. It will have a quick link to set up your account and input your child's dismissal plan

Pick up Patrol will be updated and ready for review by Friday 8/7/26.

Important Reminder Concerning Snacks in School

Students in Kindergarten - Grade 5 will be permitted healthy nut free snacks, including fruits, vegetables and grains. In specific classrooms, snacks may need to be further restricted to ensure the safety of students with allergens or other chronic health issues. Snacks are provided by parents. Staff should not provide classroom snacks for students. Snacks in the original packaging are preferred, although baggies of foods may be brought as well. Students will not be permitted to share snacks.
