Picnic in the Park is Next Saturday!

Summer is here, and one of Glenora's favourite community traditions is back.

Join us on Saturday, June 13, from 3PM to 7PM for Picnic in the Park, an afternoon filled with food trucks, live music, games, a bouncy castle, and activities for all ages.

This year, we're excited to add tennis and pickleball tournaments, along with beginner pickleball lessons hosted by YEG Pickleball.

We've heard from many residents who are interested in learning the game, both adults and kids, and we're thrilled that YEG Pickleball has stepped up to make it happen. Whether you're an experienced player or picking up a paddle for the first time, there's a place for you on the court.

Picnic in the Park will also serve as a fundraiser for the Glenora Community League Building Redevelopment Project. Every dollar raised will help us create an improved community space that residents can enjoy for years to come.

We encourage all neighbours to come out, connect with neighbours, support the redevelopment project, and enjoy a great afternoon together.

If you’re looking for more ways to stay connected and involved, we’d love to see you at our monthly Community League Board meetings. The next GCL meeting is on June 10th at 7:00 pm in the Community League art room. Meetings are held on the second Wednesday of every month and are open to all community members. It’s a great opportunity to meet neighbours, share ideas, and be part of shaping what makes Glenora such a special place to live.

Join us for Pickleball Lessons with YEG Pickleball’s qualified instructors! Whether you’re brand new to the game or looking to sharpen your skills, these sessions are a fun and supportive way to learn the fastest-growing sport in North America.

• Youth Session: 12 spots available
• Adult Session: 12 spots available
• Cost: $25 per person

All proceeds go directly toward the redevelopment of our community league, helping improve local facilities and programs for everyone.

Join us for a fun single point elimination contest on the tennis court during a break from the tennis tournament at about 5pm. Each player will play one point at a time, winners move on until there are only two players left - whoever wins that point wins a prize!

Participants will get a ticket to enter in one of many great raffle prizes!

All funds will go directly to the redevelopment of the Community League Building.
