Waskowitz Report from Coach Lucas

Camp was awesome! Nearly 80 players — from Devs, WPL teams and EA teams — arrived at Waskowitz ready to work hard, challenge themselves and make lasting memories! Campers displayed a high level of energy, enthusiasm and competitiveness, matched by their inspiring sportsmanship and genuine care for each other. This is what makes ECFC so special. Seeing so many players grow in confidence, improve their skills and have so much fun was a great reminder that we are more than a soccer club — we’re a family! Thank you to all the players, coaches and families who made this year’s camp such a memorable success!

Hats! Hats! Get Your ECFC hats!

Rep your club on the sideline, during chilly-weather practices, at the grocery store. Emerald City’s hat fundraiser offers beanies and baseball caps in a range of colors and styles — and supports our Bobby Howe Scholarship Fund!

ECFC Night at UW Men’s Soccer

Join with our Emerald City community on Thursday, Sept. 3, to cheer on defending national champions UW Men’s Soccer as the team takes on Cal State Fullerton. Tickets are $7 and kickoff time is 7:30 pm. Gather your teammates and make it a team-bonding night! Let’s go DAWGS!

Fitness, Technical, Goalkeeping: ECFC’s Supplemental Trainings

One feature that sets Emerald City apart from other soccer clubs is the range of supplemental specialty trainings offered, all designed to suppourt our players’ efforts to improve their game. The Club offers optional Fitness training, Technical training and Goalkeeper training.

Goalkeeper trainings are organized and led by Coach Alex Jessup. Sessions are open to current and aspiring goalkeepers. Talk to your coach if your player is not on the goalkeeper roster but is interested in joining the optional trainings. Sessions are offered a few times per week when field space and Coach Alex’s schedule allow.

Fitness is led by Coach Elston and two sessions are offered most Fridays. Fitness sessions are open to all current ECFC players.

Technical training is offered most Fridays, with two sessions: the first session is for U11–U14 players, and the second for U15–U19 players. Technical trainings are led by Coach Henry and Coach Drew.

🔥Air Quality Policy

The Club will cancel outdoor practices and games when the Air Quality Index (AQI) reaches 120 according to AirNow.gov. When a day’s forecast indicpredicts an AQI of 120 or higher at practice time, ECFC leadership will message families no later than 3:30 pm to communicate whether practices will go forth or be cancelled. If your player is sensitive to air quality and won’t attend on a day practice is being held, just message your coach. Our thoughts are with all those affected by the current fires in the Spokane area and other parts of our state.
