Imagine attending a training class on the ECC campus and one of your classmates is the college president! 

Dr. Greg McLeod, ECC president, elevated his practical skills by completing the forklift operator training class held June 10 on the Tarboro campus. By joining the class, he learned about the basic design of lift trucks, stabilization of trucks, maintenance, repair costs and safety aspects in operation.

Edgecombe Community College is proud to announce its President’s List for the Spring 2025 semester. Full-time students who earned a 4.0 grade point average are named on the President’s List. ECC is also proud to announce its Dean’s List for Spring 2025. Those full-time students earned a grade point average of 3.500 to 3.999. 

The Edgecombe Community College Foundation recently treated employees on the Tarboro campus to lunch for their support of the Foundation’s annual Campus Giving Campaign. During the campaign, employees are encouraged to give. The most recent campaign was held Oct. 21, 2024 through Jan. 14, 2025. The campaign is always a friendly competition between employees based on the Rocky Mount and Tarboro campuses. 

The ECC Foundation held a Spring Paint and Sip fundraiser May 29 on the Tarboro campus. Participants enjoyed art, fun, food and wine for each guest. A total of 24 people signed up to attend the event, and the Foundation raised $1,200. 

Carole Mehle-Bittner, humanities and English instructor at ECC, donated art supplies and guided participants through an art piece displaying the beauty of spring flowers.
