Happy Women's History Month!

This month we’re proud to honor the strength and courage of so many amazing trailblazers who have – and continue – to make important contributions to our communities and society as a whole.  This year’s theme is “Moving Forward Together,” spotlighting “women educating and inspiring generations.”

Personally, I am honored to come from and work with women who are change makers and sheroes on so many levels. I am the product of a single parent household where my mother not only raised me, but also my three sisters. As the only son that grew up in a house full of strong, brilliant women, I always felt loved and poured into.

After almost 11 years of being married, I still find myself in awe of my beautiful wife, and how she juggles family life while also being a powerhouse on Capitol Hill. I am the man I am today because of the women that raised me and the relationships that I have been lucky to experience personally and professionally.

So remember to take a moment to thank the powerful sheroes in your own life who have made a difference in your life and our communities, and continue to change our world in small yet profound ways.

As I always stress, working together is where the magic happens and the change unfolds.

Let’s continue our critical work together!

Blessings,

Conan

CHA Appearances

I was proud to join NLC Boston, an organization that trains cross-sector leaders statewide who are committed to moving the communities they serve and our city towards equity and justice, for a panel on the Ecosystems of Change. From neighborhoods, to classrooms, to elected offices, they connect inclusive leaders who have the expertise to implement change, and provide the skills and network to make that progress a reality.

Their Institute runs for six months, with 19 incredible fellows in the cohort, and culminates in a capstone project to further their impact work as changemakers in Massachusetts. It was a pleasure to join them, along with other leaders in the criminal legal reform space, to talk about how to build strong relationships, lead authentically, and find your path to changemaking.

Highlight of the Month

We’re fortunate to live in the great city of Boston where we have so many bold and creative changemakers that have, and continue to, create and nurture impactful change in our communities. The fearless and ambitious women are unlimited and range from the likes of Mayor Michelle Wu to Dr. Beverly Edgehill of TJX Companies, to many other trailblazers that have paved the way for so many of today’s sheroes such as History Makers Bennie Wiley and Deborah Jackson to name just a few.

Take a moment to celebrate those sheroes who may include the majestic maternal figures in your life who paved the way for your growth and success.  You would be amazed at how many brilliant change makers you have in your own life.  Let’s be sure to honor them this month.
