NEW THIS WEEK

In light of the school shooting in Bend, Oregon, we want to remind families that St. Pius X uses the Centigex Alert and VisitU check-in systems for rapid campus lockdown, police response, and daily security. The school's comprehensive safety plan also includes annual safety training and drills. St. Pius X has an active Safety and Security team that meets monthly to assess our campus security and attends regular training with a variety of authorities (GBI, FBI, GEMA) to review and update our security and emergency response plans. St. Pius X has worked hard over the past decade to develop a strong relationship with the Chamblee Police Department, and they have a presence on campus every day of the school year. The FBI recently had an agent on campus who confirmed that we are as prepared as we can be. If you have questions, please feel free to reach out to Kristin Kramer at kkramer@spx.org.

Annual Fund dollars directly support our dedicated faculty, like theology teacher Lindsey Farrell. Your contribution provides our teachers with the resources, continuous formation, and support needed to inspire academic excellence while nurturing our students' spiritual growth every day at St. Pius X.

WHO WILL GET PIED NEXT?

When your family makes a gift to the Annual Fund, your student's House earns a participation point (one per family, regardless of the donation amount). More points = more pies!

The top three houses get to “pie” some Pi-Hi favorites at The Annual Fund Pi-Hi Pie-Off on October 30 during the pep rally! Please make your gift today!

REMINDERS

The SPX Counseling Office's Freshman Parent Meeting offers parents crucial insights into student perspectives on high school transition, practical strategies for time management, comprehensive four-year academic planning (including credit requirements and course rigor), and key testing and campus support resources to help students thrive.

Start Your Pius Pursuit!

Designed for families with students in 5th–7th grade, the Pius Preview is a great opportunity to experience St. Pius X. Tour our campus, learn more about our community, and discover a place where faith leads, family unites, and excellence follows. Email cecuyer@spx.org with any questions.

SPX Alumni, Parents, & Friends: The 2026 Career Day Needs You!

Save the Date: Friday, November 13, 8:30-11 a.m.

Our students are often asked, "What do you want to be when you grow up?" Being a presenter at the 2026 SPX Career Day is a perfect way to help them confidently answer this question.

SPX Career Day is an opportunity for alums, parents, and friends to directly impact our junior and senior students' futures. We need your help to showcase a wide range of career paths for our students. We welcome first-time and returning presenters!

As a presenter, you will host one or two in-person sessions during the morning, presenting 15-20 minutes of material regarding your career and fielding questions from the students. This simple, 2.5-hour commitment is one of the most significant volunteer contributions you can make at St. Pius X. Please click this link to indicate your willingness to participate.

Join us on our annual Guys' Retreat on November 13-15, 2026. It is an all-grade level retreat, so every male student is welcome to join! This year we will be heading up to the mountains of Dahlonega. There will be fun activities such as field games, hiking, a lake, and more. We will get a chance to grow in freedom and peace together through Mass, prayer, and praise. It's essential to rest and be together as a community, so we hope you can join us! Any questions, please reach out to Campus Ministry.
