Norms for ONE WILPF calls (large group and breakouts):
  • Be prepared and come ready to engage. Read the agenda and do any preparatory work ahead of time.
  • Balance your participation-speak and listen-and make sure everyone's voice is heard.
  • Look ahead to positive action, not back on shoulda, woulda, coulda.
  • Everyone is responsible for helping to stay on topic-capture off topic items in a 'backburner' and agree to discuss them later at a more appropriate time.
  • Be concise and to the point.
  • Be open to feedback.
AGENDA
1. Report on the September World Beyond War Conference that WILPF co-sponsored in Washington DC. In preparation for the call, you may be interested in viewing videos from the Conference, though this is not required to participate in the call. See the videos

2. Report on next steps to plan a WILPF US SOLIDARITY EVENT for April 2017. We are hopeful that every WILPF member and branch will participate in some way and we are suggesting a variety of options from a required small action to more engaging actions that connect with your community in fun and interactive ways. Be ready to suggest what could work in YOUR community!

3. Break Out Rooms:
(work space to brainstorm, collaborate and plan right on the call, followed by reports back to the general session of the call. Facilitators and Note Takers will be assigned in advance. Please use your full name and location to identify yourselves once you enter the Break Out Room.)

BREAK OUT ROOM 1: How can WILPF members participate in the plans and actions that arose from the World Beyond War Conference and collaborate effectively with partner organizations? Timelines, goals, objectives.   Facilitator - TBA  Note Taker/Reporter:  Sandy Thacker.

BREAK OUT ROOM 2: More planning for the April 2017 WILPF SOLIDARITY EVENT across the US. More suggestions, questions, details, ideas. How will this event work on some level for YOUR branch or your community?   How can we use it to raise WILPF's visibility and increase our connections to one another?   What are the next steps necessary to gain traction and buy-in across all of WILPF US?  Facilitator - TBA  Note Taker/Reporter:  TBA.

 4. Report Back from Break Out Rooms. Details about agreements, questions, next steps, timelines, moving the plans forward.
______________________________________________________________

These ONE WILPF CALLS are member-led, monthly and offer ways for branches and members to connect, share resources and solutions, and plan strategically for the future.  They are in response to the results of the 2015 Branch Survey, as a way of resolving the isolation and disconnection members are feeling from one another, from other branches and from WILPF US.  They focus on solutions, moving forward, and collaborating to make WILPF stronger and our work more visible.
