Hello, Fellows!
I hope this message finds you well and enjoying the start of summer. It is already hitting 100 degrees on Tucson Time! The Academy is blazing too, and I’m excited to share just a few recent highlights with you.
We are making strides in advancing our strategic goals around operational excellence and enhancing the value of your Fellowship. One of the most exciting updates: your online experience just got an upgrade! We’ve transitioned to a new, modern Fellowship portal. All your Fellowship information is still there — it’s just easier to access and use. You will need to create a new login to access the updated portal, as your previous credentials are no longer valid. If you have any trouble doing this, please reach out to the office for assistance.
In addition, the House of Governors recently approved a new admissions workflow that will create greater efficiency for Chapter volunteers, staff and applicants. These improvements will help streamline the process, reduce delays and support continued growth and excellence within the Academy. I want to personally thank Tom Sasser, who chaired the task force, along with those who were largely voluntold for this task: Lisa McNorton, Jim Meuller, Dana Prescott and Cassie Chin.
To everyone who joined us in Dallas for the National Family Law Conference — thank you! Fellows who attended, I hope you feel energized by the sessions and time spent connecting with one another (and hopefully had enough BBQ). If you haven’t had a chance yet, please take a moment to fill out the feedback survey — we really do take your input to heart as we plan for the future. Thank you to the co-chairs of the event, Lisa Spencer and Elisha Roy, who spent countless hours making the experience exceptional for all who attended.
Thank you for reading the newsletter and being a part of this community. Together, we’re shaping the future of family law and promoting the highest degree of professionalism and excellence in our practice — one portal, one workflow, one conference, one pro bono hour (keep working on those) and one connection at a time.
