This Week in Traffic News...

As of today, Monday, Oct 19th, the Main Entrance to KCC off of Kaumuali`i Hwy has reopened. However, due to this next phase of road resurfacing, you will not be able to exit that way. Instead you will need to go out the back access road past Island School, past Kilohana and out where Nuhou Road intersects with the hwy.

Soon the campus will have a brand new aura with the new roads and (!) new Streetlights!

Please remember the above changes if you are coming to SURFILMUSIC on Thursday, Tumua on Friday or Saturday, Piano Lessons Monday and Tuesday, Ballet Classes Mon-Thursday and Saturday...or just popping by to say Howdy!

Our former entry road was once lovingly referred to by no one as Puhi Pothill Park. Now many of the craters are relics of the past, to be seen no more and missed by none

And the Streetlights (not pictured...gonna wait till they light'em up for the full effect) will probably be the most remarkable change of all! Kalshi predicts all ready to go before Santa pulls up with his miniature sleigh and eight tiny wild pigs.

This Weekend at the PAC!

SURFILMUSIC - Thurs, Oct 22, 7pm

Chronicling Jack Johnson’s evolution from surfer to filmmaker to musician. Film traces how Johnson’s early years making surf films with close friends became a foundation for a much broader creative life, capturing moments in and out of the water that later surfaced in his songwriting. Blending rare footage from those formative surf films and Johnson's personal and family archives with present-day reflections, the film weaves together how lived experience, friendship, and exploration shaped the sound and stories behind the music.

Proceeds benefit the Kauai High School Surf Team.

KCC History Dept presents Holocaust survivor Gabriella Karin has a harrowing story of running, hiding, and surviving the Holocaust as a preteen girl. Gabriella has spoken to thousands of people in a multitude of settings over the years. She also has published multiple books, including a memoir of her survival story.

KBA's production of THE NUTCRACKER returns to the PAC Dec 11th & 12th with 3 performances! Live accompaniment provided by the KCC Chamber Orchestra under the direction of Conductor Sarah Tochiki.

The 100 person cast of dancers will dazzle and delight. Beautiful costumes, scene projections and special effects add to the magic. A treat for all and especially the kids. Find out how they can get involved in the KBA's classes and Spring Show!
