Hello again!
We think that time is an objective thing. We measure it. We show it on calendars and carry it with us on watches and phones throughout the day and night. Yet sometimes, sometimes time seems to speed up or slow down, and even disappear!
This phenomenon is bewildering and frustrating as we heal. Progress in rehab seems unbearably slow! As we return to normal activities, it is shocking to realize the time we feel we "lost". It helps to be mindful that during healing and recovery, we are engaged in a complex process involving our body, mind, and spirit. Injury and illness affect us on all levels: physical, emotional, rational, and even in our Soul. When we become impatient or disappointed in our healing, we need to remember that we may be repairing on other levels, and this will soon manifest in the physical body.
This week's image looks out on the Painted Desert in Arizona. It seems that time stands still in this vast and vivid place. If only I could give you this view, enlarged on a giant wall so that you could fly into it!
Love and blessings to you and the ones you love.
