Greetings From Mr. Estes... | | |
Dear SASEAS Families,
Our school Run 4 Fun this past Friday was a big success in many ways, as a fundraiser we exceeded our goal of $45,000 (our final total will be determined following the closing of our online giving site this Friday), as an opportunity to come together and celebrate our community and have a little fun, the students, guests, and staff appeared to truly enjoy the event, and as a demonstration of the commitment of our families to our school; thank you once again to everyone who made the day possible. A special thank you to Mrs. Caito for volunteering her time to be the Master of Ceremonies as well as devoting so much time to logistics and set up. Since we exceeded our overall financial goal we will be adding an additional day off to our calendar; please note that school will be closed on Tuesday, February 16, 2027.
Our conference scheduling system will open this Friday, October 16; please see the reminder section for additional details. Thank you to our PTO for providing food for our teachers on conference days. Parent conferences are a critical part of the learning process but those days can feel a bit long at times. Your generosity makes a big difference for the faculty and is greatly appreciated. Thank you as well to the many families who are taking advantage of the opportunity to collaborate with teachers during this time; please continue to communicate with teachers as necessary throughout the academic year as well.
Following mass today our school community and guests, along with Fr. Ed, celebrated our first character awards for the year at our Seton campus. Our saint of the month was our Mother Mary and the virtue being recognized was Humility. Congratulations to Clara Phelps, John Pharo, Abigail Pennington, Everett Weatherly, Jack Denicola, Vivian Riley, Elyn Meyer, Avery Price, and Anna Selm. The behavior of these students that teachers pointed out in their emails to families is worthy of recognition and emulation.
Make it a great week!
Paul Estes

Mrs. Christina’s 3-year-old classes are talking about the season of Fall, pumpkins and leaves. They are counting and sorting leaves by color and shape and water coloring a pumpkin. They are matching pumpkin faces and working on spelling their names. In religion they are learning about kindness. Mrs. Sheila’s class is counting leaves in math, learning that “L” is for Leaf and making leaf rubbings. In religion they are learning about Joseph and his coat of many colors.
Our four-year-old classes are learning all about leaves and the season of Fall this week. Some four-year-olds are coloring watercolor paper leaves with markers and spraying them with water to make the colors blend and some are water coloring felt leaves. Beautiful tissue paper trees, made during art, are hanging on the walls and in the hall. They are sorting leaves by size and color and practicing making patterns with leaves. They are also examining leaves with a magnifying glass and measuring them with Unifix cubes. In religion some children are hearing the story of Joseph and the coat of many colors, and some are learning about the rosary.
Mrs. Liz’s five-year-old class is working on their fine motor skills as they cut small pieces of paper, making “leaves” for their trees in art. They are graphing different colored leaves as a group. In writing they are learning about beginning sounds and are matching upper and lower case letters. Sometime this week they are making a special “Scarecrow Crunch” snack as they practice following a recipe.
Enjoy the beautiful fall weather!
Mrs. Aimee

Step Into Leadership
Board Positions Opening Soon!
Ready to make a bigger impact with Boosters? Our President, Vice President, Secretary, and Treasurer are stepping into their final year in these roles — which means now is the perfect time to start preparing to lead.
We're looking for dedicated volunteers to shadow one of these positions for 6–12 months before officially taking the reins in 2028. It's a rewarding way to give back, build lasting relationships within our community, and help shape the future of SASEAS Boosters.
Interested, or just want to learn more about what each role involves? Reach out to Jason Reeves at saseasboosterspresident@gmail.com — we'd love to talk with you.
If you are interested in joining the Boosters Executive Board please reach out to Jason Reeves by Friday, October 30.
