When The Lights Went Out
The HOA is refurbishing the community signs at the Pima Road entrance. Workers removed the letters, which will be off for a few weeks. The work includes repainting the letters and replacing the lights and wiring that backlight the Sincuidados logo.
Overwhelming Majority Support Cox Agreement
About 92 percent of homeowners who responded to an HOA survey voted in favor of continuing with the remainder of a five-year agreement with Cox Communications.

On October 27, 2020, the Sincuidados HOA signed a new agreement with Cox, focusing on Cox video service and equipment, allowing homeowners to continue to receive free bulk cable, which includes approximately 130 channels but now also a free Contour 2 HD Receiver and four free Mini Boxes. The Contour 2 HD Receiver allows you to search for programs with voice remote. According to Cox, this represents over a $100 per month value for a private individual seeking the same service without our bulk agreement.

Homeowners pay for premium channels and any additional hardware themselves. The equipment and service is non-negotiable and cannot be traded or credited for other Cox products. Any additional Cox products are the individual responsibility of the homeowner.

The new agreement also includes, for the first time in the community's history, a revenue-sharing plan for Sincuidados. Under revenue sharing, Sincuidados receives a cash rebate for every dollar homeowners are spending with Cox for TV, internet, phone and Homelife smart home and security.

We are approaching our one-year anniversary and had the opportunity to end the COX contract on or before September 30, 2021 with no penalty. Based on the survey, the HOA will continue the agreement.

If you have additional questions on the service or equipment, please reach out to the Cox Communications Bulk Center at 855-512-8876. You can make any changes to your account there.

If you have questions about the survey, contact Community Manager Suzanne Hawk at Suzanne.Hawk@fsresidential.com.
Reminder - Road Work Ahead
This is a reminder of upcoming roadwork on the Estados cul de sac and Artemisa
between Campestre and Penasco. The map shows the dates each segment is closed to traffic.

  • Pre-lower concrete collars around utilities (very little impact to traffic) - Monday October 4
  • Asphalt removal by milling machine (traffic permitted around operation) - Tuesday October 5
  • Asphalt paving Phase 1 (Green section, see map closed to traffic for 24 hours) - Wednesday October 6
  • Asphalt paving Phase 1 (Red section, see map closed to traffic for 24 hours) - Thursday October 7
  • Final utility collars around utilities (very little impact to traffic) - Friday October 15

The road work will impact each homeowner within the work zone for a 24-hour period. If inclement weather or unforeseeable circumstances postpone work, the HOA will notify you with a revised date for the work.

When asphalt paving takes place on a street, there will be no vehicle access to driveways from approximately 6:30am to 6:30am the following morning. Please park at the closest adjacent area outside of your section, preferably north or south of the entire work area. Please prevent guests and vendors from parking on the street during this time. There will be no deliveries, landscape work or other routine maintenance service within the work zones when the crew prepares the area.

The HOA will ask the city to complete an early trash and recycle pickup during this week. Please place your bins out the night before.

The road work is part of a 10-year plan from the HOA's road consultant. The consultant has inspected every road in the community, and his advice is based on current and projected structural integrity of the roads.
Painting The People's Court
At the community's courts, workers painted the nine light fixtures and poles, the chain linked fence and the exterior and interior walls. Workers also painted the clubhouse. This is part of the HOA's continuing effort to improve various structures in Sincuidados during the same period.
Update - Earth, Wind But No Fire
Sincuidados' landscaping company SDL continues its work on the FireWise clean-up, this time along Dixileta Drive. FireWise USA® is a voluntary program that provides a framework to help neighbors get organized to reduce the wildfire risk to their homes and communities.
