Trunk or Treat - Wednesday, October 28, 5:30-7:00PM

Our second annual Trunk or Treat is coming up Wednesday, October 28, from 5:30-7:00pm on Draper Avenue, and we’d love for you to be part of it. Come enjoy a fun, festive evening with your family, and invite friends and neighbors to join you. It’s a great opportunity to welcome our community and share some joy together.

There are also several ways to help make the evening a success. You can sign up to host a decorated trunk at LJPres.events, or donate bags of candy to the Church Office. Whether you host, donate, or simply come and bring friends, we hope you’ll join us for the fun.

Opportunities to Experience & Express

the Transforming Love of Jesus

This Sunday, God has given each of us gifts to be used for something greater than ourselves. This Sunday, Rev. Chad Fransen continues our journey through Ephesians with “Equipping Others,” based on Ephesians 4:7–16. Paul reminds us that Christ gives His people different gifts so we can encourage and build up the body of Christ together. Each of us has a role as we grow in faith and learn to reflect Christ more fully in how we live and serve. As we consider being available, we’ll reflect on how God might use our gifts and willingness to show up for others and help the church grow together in love and Christlike maturity.

The sermon is titled, "Equipping Others"

Prayer and Healing Service - Next Sunday, November 1, 11:30AM

Next Sunday, we’ll gather in SunHouse at 11:30am for a special Prayer and Healing Service. If you are seeking physical, emotional, relational, or spiritual healing, members of our Prayer Team will be available to pray with you and for you. This will be a quiet and meaningful time to bring your needs before God and seek His comfort, strength, and healing presence.

Giving is more than a transaction—it’s a spiritual practice. At La Jolla Pres, we believe generosity deepens faith, fuels joy, and changes lives. Your gifts support God’s work in La Jolla, throughout San Diego, and around the world.

Whether it’s a one-time gift or a recurring pledge, your generosity makes ministry possible—and shapes your heart in the process.

Legacy Circle - Leave a Lasting Impact

For generations, people have invested their time, gifts, and resources in La Jolla Pres, helping make possible the worship, ministries, mission, and community we experience today. The Legacy Circle is an opportunity to continue that tradition by including La Jolla Presbyterian Church in your will, trust, or estate plan.

Legacy giving is a way to extend your generosity beyond your lifetime and help ensure that future generations will have a place to encounter Christ, grow in faith, serve others, and experience Christian community. You don’t need to have a large estate to make a meaningful difference, and learning more doesn’t require making a commitment. If you’d like to explore what Legacy Giving could look like for you or your family, email legacy@ljpres.org and start a conversation.
