Our March season arrives —
a time to build, evolve, and move with intention.
Take a look at what we’ve been working on:
|
| Kaitlynn Olivas, Associate | | |
Originally from Las Vegas, Kaitlynn Olivas earned her Juris Doctor from the City University of New York School of Law, where she participated in Moot Court and the Mediation Clinic. She also holds a Bachelor of Science in Public Health from Brigham Young University, where she was a Peer Mentor, ALPHA member, and Cohort Facilitator.
During law school, Kaitlynn gained hands-on legal experience through internships in mediation, legal research and writing, and youth advocacy, including work assisting with workers’ compensation and disability claims, and serving as a Summer Law Clerk with Children's Law Center of California, where she helped prepare youth clients for court appearances, conducted child interviews, and supported advocacy efforts on their behalf. Her work and studies reflect a strong commitment to social justice, including civil rights, women’s rights, healthcare access, and criminal justice reform.
Kaitlynn recently relocated to San Francisco and is excited to make the Bay Area home. In her free time, she enjoys movies, reading, traveling, long walks, and spending time with dogs.

Santa Clara University School of Law's
Family Law Society Student Visit
| |
Hoover Krepelka, LLP had the pleasure of hosting Santa Clara University School of Law’s Family Law Society. It was wonderful to welcome students from the alma mater of Partner and Certified Family Law Specialist James Hoover.
Jim opened the discussion with a candid and memorable question—asking how many students had taken a family law course, noting that he himself had not. His honesty set the tone for an engaging and insightful conversation joined by Senior Associate Joy Antonette Diaz about the realities of practicing family law, career pathways, and the skills that truly matter in this field.
