Meeting Notes

March 10, 2026

The special thank you goes to Vivian Ayers & Jack Loos who donated the Royal Gourmet grill.  Thanks to Gus Meyers and Dan Fleming for assembling the grill. It is a beauty!

Susan’s minutes and Wayne’s financials – both for February – were approved. Wayne reported that about 8 households have not paid dues.

Under Committee Reports, Ralph updated us on the West Wall repair; Chris Willitz is contracted for this. Dale discussed that there are some lamp post lights out and excessive weeds in several yards. Dale & others can help residents, as needed. Jackie Moran recap’d the social events for March – Cards meets weekly beginning 3/11; Coffee on 3/14; Music & Dinner on 3/20.  There is interest to hold a community rummage sale; October/early November was suggested.

For Old Business, Karen summarized the Feb. 27 meeting of Units 2, 3, 4, & 5. The group plans to put management, budgeting, and checks / balances around the Coolidge Circle maintenance. Note: On March 12, Unit 4 sent Unit 2 a notice that they will discontinue all contributions to the Circle effective June 30. The group, including Unit 4, will meet next on March 25.

Under New Business, it was proposed – and adopted – to review Home Mod issues at Board meetings. John Baughn noted there are about 18 such requests per year.

During the Open Forum, a resident reported success with Scottsdale removing dried cans of paint, which is hazardous waste. Review rental of Ramada and propose a usage fee of $25 and a $50 refundable deposit for clean-up. This will be an agenda item for April. Add a sentence to the Ramada rental form that states no alcohol will be served to minors at any event.

Rest In Peace

Roland Eckert

A few years ago, Ro Eckert and his wife, Deb, sold their VM III home and moved to Illinois to be closer to family. While here, they were very engaged in both the association's social life and business matters. Their participation and contributions were truly an asset to our community.

Sadly, we learned of Ro's passing. Our thoughts and prayers go to Deb and his family.
