Program Starts Sept. 15 – Bring a Learning Buddy!

Space left for 4 Pairs

We have seats to fill in our upcoming cohort of the Performance Thinking® Practitioner Program, starting September 15. We're doing an experiment, to see if participants truly learn more when they complete the program with a colleague. Each one learns different things, and we observe pairs of people pointing things out to one another, recognizing things together, and sometimes collaborating profitably on the same certification projects.

So, if you come to this program as a pair of colleagues who can learn with and from each other, we'll give you a 2-for-one deal. This is maybe crazy, since our certification program already sells for less than the total ATD program, which does not include coaching through projects, projects likely to be worth more than the cost of the program. But because we are always interested in optimizing impact, we think this is an experiment worth doing, to see how pairs learn together.

To take us up on this offer, please find a time in the next 10 days to talk with Dr. Carl Binder, who will lead the program.

The Performance Thinking® Practitioner Program

Open Cohort Begins Sept 15

Became a certified performance improvement professional.

Refined through more than 30 years of development and application in hundreds of projects, this program distills accomplishment-based Human Performance Improvement into two simple models, 21 plain-English words, and a logic you can apply to virtually any performance opportunity – individual, team, or organizational.

At the heart of the program is the well-known Six Boxes® Model, voted Best Performance Model in the World at the 2024 meeting of the International Society for Performance Improvement. It has been adopted by leading organizations in high tech, biotech, medical devices, behavioral health, education, and many other industries and types of organizations.

Participants consistently tell us that the program changes the way they think about performance and gives them practical tools they can use immediately to improve results – whether coaching one person, leading a team, or managing a large-scale performance improvement initiative.

Many describe Performance Thinking® as one of the most valuable assets of their professional lives, a true-career changer.

"When do you use what you learned in the program?"

“I use it every single day!  The Performance Thinking® Practitioner Program helps us deliver greater impact and drive continuous improvement within our company. We use it in big projects, and to quickly address problems and opportunities that come up in meetings and informal discussions. That’s why we chose to certify a Performance Thinking® Program Facilitator and license the program for in-house delivery. To date, we’ve certified over 100 performance consultants.”

– Sr. Performance Consultant & Certified Program Facilitator

If you’re an individual contributor, join the Open program, offered four times a year. You'll learn alongside people from a variety of organizations and industries, recognizing how broadly Performance Thinking applies.

If you lead a team or department, bring the program in-house to build a strong Community of Practice focused on continuous improvement.

You’ll design better projects and accelerate impact if you work in:

  • Training & Development
  • Quality or Process Improvement
  • Talent or HR Management
  • Leadership & Management Development
  • Change Management & Implementation Planning
  • Sales Enablement
  • and other fields, as well.

A Certification Program That Pays For Itself

You'll learn the essentials of performance improvement through a series of interactive sessions, with feedback on practical assignments throughout the program. We'll help you select a project that matters to your stakeholders.

In small-group coaching sessions, you'll apply the Performance Thinking® logic to produce a clear Findings & Recommendations Report (or Analysis and Design Document) that summarizes what you discovered and recommends the best path forward. And the solution will be systemic, designed to optimize ROI.

If you choose your project well, the value it delivers will likely be greater than the program fee.
