THIS WEEK IN HOUSTON

October 29–November 2, 2025

It’s the most spirited weekend of the year! From spooky socials to sacred celebrations, Houston is alive with art, music, and community. Start with Wednesday’s Eye on Art preview at The Ion and Thursday’s schedule includes the debut of a new art space, The Art Gallery, operated by Knowhere Gallery — then get ready, because Saturday is the big day packed with art openings, performances, artist talks, and curator tours.

Round out the weekend with Día de Muertos celebrations citywide on Saturday and Sunday, featuring music, ofrendas, and processions honoring those we’ve lost. A perfect blend of the creative and the celestial — only in Houston.

Scroll down for the full lineup. And, find even more on my website.

P.S. Have you ordered your passes and checked out the screening schedule to Houston Cinema Arts Festival yet? Hurry -- it's happening November 6–16!
