We Help Families Start Over

Hello New Life Warehouse Friends! Welcome to the April 2026 Edition of our newsletter. At New Life Warehouse, we believe every family deserves a fresh start. Each month our volunteers help Tampa Bay families begin again by providing quality donated furniture and household goods - free of charge. Thank you for your support of our mission!

We will make weekend deliveries again on the 11th and 25th of April. We also have an Open House on April 18th, and a family friendly fundraiser at Horsepower for Kids on May 3rd. We hope you will invite all of your friends and family to both events. Thank you all for your prayers and support as we continue to Help Families Start Over.

Open House - April 18 - Invite Your Friends!

New Life Warehouse will be hosting an Open House on Saturday, April 18th from 10am-1pm. It will be a casual and fun event with food trucks and raffles. There will be a self-guided tour of the warehouse and chances to buy NLW merchandise.

This is a great opportunity to invite your friends and colleagues to come see the warehouse and learn more about our mission. Stop by anytime between 10 and 1 and tour the warehouse.

We are looking for volunteers to help us greet guests at the Open House. We are also looking for businesses who would be interested in partnering with us for the event.

If you would like to help, or if your business would like to sponsor a table or raffle, please email or text Barb - barb@newlifewarehouse.org - 813 385 7648.

Another Record Month

We served 95 families in March, which is our highest number ever. There are many people in desperate need in Tampa. We served women who escaped from domestic violence situations, families who are still recovering from the hurricanes in 2024, and resettled refugees, among many others. This is a typical request that we receive:

"I just recently moved into a home after living in a hotel for 4 years after coming from domestic violence situation with me and my children, I was finally able to afford a home, but all of the money that I have is on the Security deposit and rent. So I do not have any money for the furniture for my kids, like setting or anything for them. I am just looking for any type of help."

Currently we are very short on dining room chairs and bed linens. If you can help us with donations we would really appreciate it.

Thank You Rotary Club of Tampa

The Rotary Club of Tampa receives dozens of applications each year for grants. They review each application carefully and visit many worthy nonprofits across Tampa Bay as part of their selection process. In 2025 they donated $100,000 to 20 deserving organizations who provide amazing services to those in need in our community. New Life Warehouse is honored to be a grant recipient for the second year in a row. Thank You, Rotary Club of Tampa, for your support not only to New Life Warehouse, but to our local community.

Rooms To Go Gives Back

New Life Warehouse is blessed to have a wonderful partnership with Rooms To Go. For many years now they've helped us when we need furniture. We are one of several furniture banks they partner with across the country to help support families emerging from homelessness, personal tragedies and other life-changing struggles.

We are so grateful for their commitment to the communities they serve. We have gotten to know their teams well in the time we've worked together and they are truly wonderful folks. Thank you Alexandria, Seth and Elmer, and the rest of the RTG team. We sincerely appreciate everything you do for us.

Volunteer Spotlight - Mag Chan

Mag may be tiny but she is mighty as she leads our bath and cleaning department here at NLW. Any Wednesday you will see her wrapping towel sets, stocking hygiene items and assembling mops and brooms for delivery. Her department is so well organized, she could put any retail store to shame!

Even though she takes her volunteer job seriously, you will always see a smile on her face and you can count on her to get the job done!!! Thank you Mag, for all you do to help families start over!
