READING LEVELS SOAR!
We have exciting results to share of how well our students in grades 1-7 are reading as we near completion of the school year! We are so proud of our students and thankful for our teachers and parents who have contributed to this success, especially in such a unique year.

-The green bar shows the average grade equivalent (GE) reading levels according to the STAR taken at the beginning of the 4th quarter.
-The blue bar shows the grade equivalent (GE) from the beginning of the school year.

Every grade level is reading 1-2 years above the expected reading level for that grade!
NEW ELEMENTARY CAMPUS UPDATES
It's time to start planning for the BIG move!
We would appreciate help in the areas of praying, packing items big & small, putting furniture together, providing snacks for volunteers, sharing your truck, and more!
Thank you to everyone who has indicated an interest in helping with our Summer 2021 Elementary Move! PTF will be reaching out soon to those who would like to serve through prayer. Emails also went out this week to those who said they'd help with moving boxes, cleaning, and finishing some packing. If you haven't had a chance to indicate your interest in helping, you can still sign up at the link below.
In addition, we will be moving boxes, cleaning, and finishing some packing May 27-June 4. If you would like to commit to helping during these times, please sign up for a shift at the link below.

INFORMATION & REMINDERS
SUMMER BRIDGE WORKBOOKS - Students in grades PS-7 received an order form this week with an opportunity for you to purchase a Summer Bridge workbook. It is a great tool to engage your child in fun learning activities during the summer! This year we are working with Tools 4 Teaching to offer these workbooks. The cost is $14.00 and checks should be made out directly to Tools 4 Teaching (not ECS). If you are interested in placing an order, order forms must be turned in to campus offices with payment by Friday, April 23rd.
WHAT PARENTS NEED TO KNOW ABOUT COVID-19
It is important that all COVID-related situations continue to be reported to campus principals or campus health coordinators, even during virtual learning. Quarantine timelines can span anywhere from 7 to 24 days or more, so even when a family experiences COVID over a brief virtual school period or school break, student quarantines do not necessarily end when school resumes. Please contact campus principals or campus health coordinators to report any of the following: 1) Students experiencing COVID symptoms; 2) Household members experiencing COVID symptoms.
COVID SCREENING GUIDE FOR PARENTS - Every morning, parents should utilize this daily screening tool from the Indiana State Department of Health to determine whether or not to send your child to school.
COVID LINE FOR REPORTING - We have a dedicated phone line at ECS for reporting a positive COVID case in your family. If an ECS student or immediate family member receives a positive COVID test result, we're asking that you call the following number: 812-470-5423. That phone will be monitored by a rolling member of our administrative staff who will instruct you on next steps.
