Metropolitan SABA hosted the Oriental Orthodox Hierarchs here at the Camp and Conference Center this past month. They got to spend time together and they took a tour of our beautiful AV Facilities!

Weeeee've got coffee!

Hey coffee lovers...we now have a perfect gift for anyone who loves coffee and AV.

Partnering with Dark Side Coffee Roasters, a popular local company, AV will be selling its own product in Namie's Nook...with AV-themed names of course! You can now support AV Camp with every sip!

Cabin TIme - Medium Roast

Stargazing - Dark Roast

Can it get more campy than that?!

Have old AV gear that you don't need anymore? Donate it to our Thrift store and we'll sell it for a discounted price! If you are a camper parent, feel free to bring items on arrival day.

A thank you to our alumn Amanda Regnier for this idea!

To donate, just mail items to:

Crafting the Arts and Crafts building!

Work has started on one of our most popular buildings... Arts and Crafts. Campers will now get to enjoy all their favorite creative activities in an updated workspace.

48 The last un-renovated cabin... till now!

Work has finally begun on Cabin 48. For years this was the only un-renovated cabin at camp and housed Hikers and Pre-Hikers (Pikers?). This work will restore the cabin so it can be a home to our campers for years to come!

Better Communication Around Camp with a new PA system!

In order to better facilitate communication throughout our camp property to our AV family, we have installed a new PA system. With its wide range and clarity, our PA system will certainly be a great new asset!

Our St. Thekla shrine is now dedicated to the memory of Dr. Lara Gashash, one of our beloved Village Alum.

The Shrine to St. Thekla was compassionately restored and renovated through the love and support of Dr. Lara Ama Gashash. Lara attended the Antiochian Village as a camper and then was on staff as a counselor from 1993-1995. Friends and family gathered on June 30, 2024 for a dedication and memorial for Lara at the shrine led by Fr. Chris Shadid. Tears, laughter and love were shared with those who remember her vibrant and charismatic spirit, her motherly love and affection, and her humorous wit. She brought comfort and joy to all those around her, especially her three children. Lara passed away on May 9, 2022 due to complications from Covid at the tender age of 48. Now her love of the Antiochian Village may continue to grace all the future staff, campers and visitors who venerate St. Thekla. May Lara’s memory be eternal.

Directional Signage is now Complete!

We have finished installing new directional signage across our camp property! We want to ensure that guests and alumni alike can more easily traverse and be guided around camp and our facilities.
