STAFF SPEAKING

Here is a note from the Executive Assistant, Felicia Magee:

"I've been in my role with the Chamber for just over a year now and I can't help but be excited for the coming year. I've spent the last year becoming familiar with every aspect of "Chamber Life" and look forward to finding ways to improve our office processes. This past Thursday at our AGM the membership in attendance elected the new board members for the next year and it's always exciting to work with new people who bring exciting new ideas to the table.Over the past few weeks I've been working closely with Chrissy Blok and the Communications Committee on the new website which is now live and looks amazing! Another project that is wrapping up is the Chamber's Accreditation. Over the past year I've been assisting the Board and CEO in working towards becoming an Accredited Chamber of Commerce. I wonder what this year will bring my way while I sit at the Executive Assistant's desk?"

CITY OF PRINCE GEORGE SEEKS ASSISTANCE WITH SPRING CLEANING

In March and April of every year, the City of Prince George turns its attention from snow removal to removing a season's worth of winter traction material from City streets and lots.

"In order to ensure the fastest possible cleanup of neighbourhood streets, residents are asked to avoid parking on the street during spring sweeping," says Associate Director of Public Works, Gina LayteListon. "If sweepers have to maneuver around parked cars, this slows sweeping and leaves a sandy and dusty area once the vehicle moves." Winter parking restrictions remain in effect until April 15, 2015.
