Partners and friends,
With an abundance of gratitude and hopefulness, Community Memorial Foundation’s Board of Directors announces the planned retirement of its long-time President & CEO, Greg DiDomenico. Greg plans to retire in 2026, following a national search for the Foundation’s new leader, and an accompanying period of transition to successfully position CMF for its next chapter of service to our partners and communities.
“My heart is full of gratitude for the support, encouragement, and trust in me and the team during my tenure as President & CEO of Community Memorial Foundation,” said DiDomenico. “Together with our grantee partners and the community, we have strengthened equitable access to health and human services, and we’ve done so through a lens of empathy and hope. It has been a special opportunity to journey together, furthering a shared vision with colleagues, partners and friends.”
The leadership transition will be guided by CMF’s long-standing history of transparency, trust, inclusion, and collaboration. To support this process, the Foundation has engaged WittKieffer, a nationally-recognized executive search firm based in Oak Brook, to oversee the recruitment of the Foundation’s new leader. “Throughout his tenure, Greg has fully embodied the heart of CMF and we are so grateful for his service leadership and thoughtful stewardship of the Foundation ,” said Board Chair Dr. Bonny Chen. “As we look to the future, we remain dedicated to strengthening our legacy of building healthier, stronger and more equitable communities across the region.”
