A Note from Dr. Scott
Dear Archway Trivium families,
In medieval times, pilgrims who journeyed to the Holy Land would bring back a palm leaf as a token of their journey. From this practice, they were sometimes called palmers. With that understanding, we can appreciate the brilliant wordplay as Romeo tries to steal a kiss from fair Juliet.
Romeo: My lips, two blushing pilgrims, ready stand
To smooth that rough touch with a tender kiss.
Juliet: Good pilgrim, you do wrong your hand too much,
Which mannerly devotion shows in this; [Juliet places the palm of her hand against Romeo’s]
For saints have hands that pilgrims' hands do touch,
And palm to palm is holy palmers' kiss.
Romeo: Have not saints lips, and holy palmers too?
Juliet: Ay, pilgrim, lips that they must use in prayer.
As we know, Juliet receives Romeo’s kiss and sets off a series of events that comprise one of the great tragedies in English language drama. As the impulsivity of these two “star-crossed lovers” moves them closer and closer to their eventual demise, the reader (or audience member) is treated to clever and beautiful language.
Our school year is coming to a close and summer is rapidly approaching. We spend the entire school year engaging with great ideas and beautiful language. My challenge to you is to read some Shakespeare this summer. Take on a full play, or enjoy a sonnet or two. Engage on your own level, but reach in deeply and allow your mind to grow. Who knows, maybe you will develop a taste for The Bard.
Heartily Devoted,
Dr. Clay Scott
Headmaster

| A very big THANK YOU to so many of our families that heard the call and responded to our Day of Giving. We appreciate you! Archway Trivium is still looking to reach it’s fundraising goal to end the year in a strong financial position. It is not too late to give in support of our teachers! Please remember that the charter school funding gap is real, and when we all make a choice to attend a charter school, it comes with the responsibility of understanding how we continue to be UNDERfunded! While work is also being done to advocate for better funding, we can all do our part! If you have not yet given to Community Investment this year, please remember that if EVERYONE who has not done so yet were to give $26.09, we would reach our goal! We will share an updated Donor List next week so everyone can make sure we have the correct entries for our VR goggles drawing, thanks to Trivium family business, Altered Combat. Be sure to gift to Community Investment by the last day of school to be included in our drawing!! | | |
Trivium Spirit Day - Friday, May 19 (Full Day of School)

Traffic Flow for Student Drop-off/Pick-up
With the expansion of Archway and addition of the new building, there are significant changes to the traffic flow for the upcoming school year. Please carefully review the new Archway Traffic Flow for Student Drop-off and Pick-up and reach out with any questions. Taking the time to understand these procedures will help to ensure the safety of our students/staff and a smooth traffic flow.
Carpooling Update: Our east side pick-up lane has had a faster track and will now be our designated carpool lane.
If you have 2 or more Archway ONLY pick-up cards, you will be guided into this fast-track lane for a faster pick-up. Please be sure to have your pick-up cards ready to show our traffic controllers that you are carpooling so they can guide you to the appropriate lane. To maintain the flow of pick-up, others may be directed to the fast-track lane, but carpools will be given priority. Please do not enter the carpool lanes until you are directed to do so.
As a reminder, if you are picking up Middle School students DO NOT ARRIVE to campus before 3:15 PM. This creates significant delays. If you arrive before 3:15, we will ask you to go back into our pick-up lanes and try again.
Please follow the link below to review the DETAILED Archway Traffic Flow Plan and be sure to share this link with anyone authorized to drop-off/pick-up your children.
