STEP Summit Sparks Learning and Conversation About AI

On September 24, STEP hosted its Twin Counties Education & Business Leaders’ Summit at Nash Community College, bringing education and business leaders together around this year’s theme, “AI in the Workplace: Opportunity, Responsibility and Readiness.”

Keynote speaker Phaedra Boinodiris, IBM Consulting’s Responsible AI Practice Leader, brought the conversation to life through thought-provoking insights on the impact of AI and engaging activities. Panel discussions continued the conversation with Navigating the AI Transformation, AI in the Workplace, and Preparing the Next Generation, followed by breakout sessions focused on AI policy, responsible AI adoption, and leveraging AI in the classroom.

The Summit provided an opportunity for leaders to learn, connect and think about how AI is shaping the future of work and education. STEP thanks our sponsors, Cummins Rocky Mount Engine Plant, Astemo, LS Cable & System, Nash County Economic Development, World Cat and Nash Community College, along with our speakers, volunteers, and attendees, for helping make the Summit a success.
