Dear Friends and Neighbors,
What an incredible day! The One Crown Heights Festival near Brower Park was a wonderful success, bringing more than 3,000 residents together for a day of fun and connection.
Kids sang along, danced, and had an amazing time enjoying Rabbi B’s musical performance. The celebration also featured the incredible sounds of Tropical Fete’s Steel Pan Band, Elias Solomon, and energetic stilt walkers - It was a great time, and the pictures are here to prove it!
Families enjoyed roller skating, art-making with Brooklyn Fam, community resources, food, and free admission to the Brooklyn Children’s Museum. The Festival followed Epic Village’s 5K Run Against Hate, which was a huge success. A community conversation brought neighbors together in a circle for meaningful dialogue and connection.
We were also honored to have State Assembly Member Brian Cunningham present One Crown Heights with a Proclamation of Community Service.
This Festival is a special celebration of what makes Crown Heights so wonderful: our diversity, our neighbors, and the many organizations and community members who come together to build a safe, healthy, and thriving neighborhood for everyone.
While the Festival may be over, One Crown Heights is active all year long! Follow us on Instagram at @och_festival and join us for our community conversations, youth basketball and ballet programs, and other opportunities to connect with your neighbors.
A huge thank you to all of our partners, volunteers, performers, vendors, and everyone who came out and made the day such a success. We couldn’t do it without you!
With gratitude,
The One Crown Heights Coalition
