Dear Teachers, Students and Parents,

Cast your vote in the 20th Annual MY HERO International Film Festival and help us choose the 2024 People's Choice Winner!

Short Films - Big Heroes

A host of inspiring short films, made by student and professional filmmakers, has been selected as the 2024 People's Choice finalists. The MY HERO People's Choice Ballot is approximately 30 minutes (total run time), so the activity can be completed during a class period. It's a great way to start a discussion about heroes and heroism with your students. Check out our Teacher's Guide to Online Voting in the Classroom.

All of the films are official selections from the MY HERO International Film Festival, an annual event dedicated to showcasing the power of the human spirit in short films.

There are three online ballots:

MY HERO People's Choice Ballot
Ballot for A Young Audience.
By Kids for Kids (made by young filmmakers)

Voting will remain open through November 1, 2024.

MY HERO Media Arts Resources are available online to support those interested in making their own short films. Submissions for next year's MY HERO International film Festival will be accepted in January, 2035.

Join Us for the MHIFF Awards Ceremony

Join us on Saturday, November 16, 2024, for the MY HERO International Film Festival's Special Awards Ceremony. Winning films will be celebrated and clips of selected shorts will be screened.
