Dear friends,
I am delighted to share ELAWCβs 2022 Annual Report and I invite you to discover the impact of our work, thanks in part to your unwavering support.
Itβs truly rewarding to look back and appreciate the progress and achievements of the survivors and their families, our Promotoras, volunteers, and staff. Despite the ongoing challenges presented by the pandemic, ELAWC evolved to continuously deliver vital resources and support:
- Our 24-hour crisis hotline and chat line never closed.
- Housing services offered critical lifelines for survivors: temporary shelter, housing resources, and financial assistance.
- Therapeutic services adapted to meet survivors' needs both in-person and virtually β reaching thousands more than previously possible.
-
Promotoras took their experience into the community to lift up the marginalized with compassion, education, and support.
ELAWC also embraced new opportunities for growth and innovation. The most significant is our investment in a nearby property where we are creating a permanent, sustainable headquarters. By strengthening our own future, we also strengthen the future of families and the community. We look forward to welcoming you to the renovated building in early 2024.
Take a peek at the plans for our new headquarters, explore inspiring stories of resilience, and see how your support continues to build brighter, safer futures for survivors and families.
I am deeply grateful for your continued partnership and faith in our mission.
ο»ΏThank you for being an integral part of our journey.
With gratitude,
Barbara Kappos
