Skytop Lodge Plein Air Workshops and Plein Air Days are Coming Up

In addition to plein air painting days, this year there are four workshops offered on separate Sundays: June 22, August 24, Sept 28, and October 19! | | The ArtShow at Hicks Art Center | | The ArtShow at Hicks Art Center Gallery at Bucks County Community College is in full swing with gallery hours from Tuesday - Friday, 10 am - 6 pm and Saturdays 12 - 4 pm. In observance of Juneteenth, the gallery will be closed on June 19 and 20. Before the exhibition ends on July 19, a closing reception and a special artist panel discussion will be held on July 17 from 5 -8 pm at the Hicks Art Center located at BCCC, 275 Swamp Road, Newtown, Pennsylvania, 18940. | | Installation view of The ArtShow in the main gallery of Hicks Art Center | |
This closing event offers a final opportunity for art enthusiasts to experience the contemporary, multi-media works featured in The ArtShow, which brings together artworks by 37 Philadelphia based artists previously interviewed on the video interview podcast ArtShow founded by curator and artist Craig Stover. The highlight of the evening will be an engaging panel discussion, starting at 5 pm, featuring some of the artists participating in the exhibition. This is a unique chance to gain insights into their creative process, inspirations, and the themes explored in their artworks. The panel will include participating artists Francis Beaty, Jill Bonovitz, Jon Eckel, Rachel Romano, Stuart Rome, Rebecca Rutstein, Gerri Spilka and Craig Stover with Hicks Art Center Galleries Exhibitions Associate, Clifford Eberly moderating the discussion. Free and open to the public, no registration required.
