| | Dearest Amazing ASOH Community,
| On behalf of our Board of Directors, we are thrilled to announce that after a comprehensive search, we have officially appointed
| Rachel Stich, as our Chief Executive Officer.
| | Over the past 3 years, Rachel has poured her heart and experience into ASOH, first as our Executive Director, and most recently as our Interim CEO. Under Rachel's leadership, our team has expanded to serve 750 foster youth and children annually, secured 500+ affordable housing units, and launched a landmark homeless prevention pilot with the LA County Department of Child and Family Services.
| As we expand our evidence-based model across the country to New York City, we are thrilled for Rachel to lead with her fierce strategic acumen and deep, emotional understanding of our mission, along with an unwavering commitment to our DNA.
| | With over 20 years of experience driving preventative solutions for youth experiencing homelessness, Rachel is uniquely positioned to continue the momentum and ensure absolute stability for our programs, whilst never losing the intimate thread of care that connects us all. This appointment marks a significant milestone as ASOH prepares to take a visionary leap forward, and as we celebrate the recent honor of 2026 Time Visionary as well as 2026 Fast Co World Changing Ideas for our groundbreaking model to support families who survived the LA wildfires.
| Eleven years ago, ASOH was born from a simple yet profound truth: that every young person aging out of foster care deserves a space that feels like love, safety, and a true sense of home. Over the years, we have woven together a beautiful community that has helped us change the lives of 5,000 individuals to date. We extend our profound gratitude to our community, volunteers, donors, partners, and the inspiring individuals we serve. We celebrate you and how far we have all come together. We collectively welcome Rachel to helm the next chapter in our organization’s history.
| With loving gratitude and in community spirit,
