During The American Legion, Department of Florida's Convention in June, the Department's Executive Committee learned about a special fundraising effort to help bring in crucial funds to keep our many programs alive. There's no question membership can be a struggle, which provides the financial resources our organization relies on.

By conducting regular 50/50 online raffles, we hope that the following will happen:

• Reach outside membership to support our programs
• Educate Florida's general population on the good work we do
• Recruit new members into our organization
• Provide crucial funding to the local Posts and Department

The Department of Florida has been able to accomplish a lot over the last 100+ years! However, in order to keep meeting the needs of the Florida veteran community, we need to keep bringing in funding through a variety of efforts like the 50/50 Online Raffles.

The Florida Legion 50/50 Raffle is a fundraising effort where proceeds benefit The American Legion, Department of Florida, Inc, a 501c19 nonprofit organization located at 1912A Lee Rd, Orlando, FL 32810. Cash prizes will be paid to our lucky winner(s) from the proceeds generated from each raffle. Any additional or special drawing, such as an early bird drawing, will be announced at the start of any bi-weekly drawing. Participating Florida American Legion Posts will receive a part of the proceeds, too! All-Winners, early bird, and grand prize winners will be selected at The American Legion, Department of Florida's Headquarters (1912A Lee Rd, Orlando, FL 32810) bi-weekly by an electronic randomizer. Although no purchase is necessary to win, donations received from this raffle will benefit Florida Veterans, their families, and the many programs offered by The American Legion, Department of Florida.
