Turn your tax dollars into scholarships for Newark Catholic students!

Give to the Emmaus Road Scholarship Fund!

Give and get back! With the Emmaus Road Scholarship, dollar-for-dollar Ohio tax credit, you convert your tax dollars into scholarship dollars. Designate a scholarship to help Newark Catholic students, and you get it back on your Ohio state taxes. This scholarship granting organization (SGO) allows you to earn a reduction of your tax liability of up to $750 individually and $1,500 filing jointly. Why give it to the Ohio Department of Taxation when you have a choice to provide a scholarship in the same amount returned to your IT1040 line 10, Ohio taxes?

Gifts can be made by anyone who values our Catholic schools and wants to help. Grandparents, parents, alumni, and friends all have a profound impact on our mission, and this is just another way to get involved. When you choose to make this gift, you make a difference!

To impact students in the 2025-2026 school year, you will need to give by Dec. 31, 2025

Newark Catholic in Rome!

NC Principal, Tom Pickering; Vice Principal, Stephanie Paul-Tiberio; Bishop Fernandes and other Diocesan leaders recently attended the Jubilee of the World of Education

As you may know, the Catholic Church is in the midst of its "Pilgrims of Hope" jubilee year! Also known as a Holy Year, a jubilee year is a special year in the Catholic Church celebrated every 25 years that focuses on forgiveness, reconciliation and renewal.

As part of the jubilee year, distinct groups of people and various ministries in the Church are recognized and celebrated. One such ministry is education.

The Jubilee of the World of Education just took place Oct. 31-Nov. 2. Our very own Principal, Tom Pickering, and Vice Principal, Stephanie Paul-Tiberio, along with school administrators throughout the Diocese of Columbus, made the pilgrimage to Rome with Bishop Fernandes for the event!

This event brought together educators, students, and all those involved in the field of education to reflect on the transformative power of learning and its impact on society. The Jubilee featured a series of discussions, workshops, and spiritual activities designed to inspire and renew the commitment to educational excellence and faith-based learning.

Highlights from the trip, captured in the photos below, include a visit to the Vatican, a tour of St. Peter's Square, a glimpse of Pope Leo XIV and prayer in the late Pope Francis' private chapel.
