The Oregon Chapter of the American College of Physicians (ACP) invites you to submit abstracts for the 2025 Oregon ACP Poster Competition, which will be held on Wednesday, October 22nd, 2025 at OHSU Hillsboro Medical Center. The poster competition is a chance for you to showcase your research and clinical work to your peers and mentors and receive feedback and recognition.
To Submit Your Abstract, Please Follow These Steps:
-
Prepare your abstract according to the guidelines and format listed on the Poster Competition Page of the Oregon ACP website.
- Submit your abstract electronically by September 1st, 2025 at 11:59 PM PST. Only abstracts submitted using the online form will be considered.
Please note that due to space limitations, the judging process for the poster competition has changed from previous years.
All abstracts will be prejudged based on your online submission. The top entries in each category (maximum 60 abstracts, will advance with a minimum of top three in each category) will advance to live competition. Only the top entries in each category will participate in the live competition this year due to space limitations.
New This Year:
If selected to display in live competition, your poster will be entirely digital. You do not need to prepare a printed poster. See more details in the schedule and experience section of this announcement. Our live event in 2025 will look different than it has before!
Use of Technology:
This year, we will not be displaying paper posters. We will be utilizing televisions to electronically display posters designed by competitors for judges to review. Oregon ACP will pre-load finalist posters to the competition computers and televisions.
Schedule and Experience:
All finalists will need to report on time to OHSU Hillsboro for orientation at 3:00pm. You will upload a PowerPoint (.pptx) file with one and only one slide – a digital version of your final poster. This submission is what will be displayed during the live competition for judges to view on TVs. From 4:00pm - 6:00pm there will be the live judging at each TV station. Each competitor will have an assigned time with judges which will be announced at check-in. This will include 5 minutes for the presentation of their poster and five minutes immediately afterwards for questions and discussion.
At the conclusion of competitions, there will be a meal for competitors and judges, followed by an awards presentation.
