THIS WEEK IN HOUSTON

September 17–21, 2025

There’s no shortage of art in Houston this week—well beyond the debut of Untitled Art's first Houston edition at the George R. Brown Convention Center. An all-day VIP and Press Preview takes place on Thursday. (Need tickets? I may still have a few for lucky subscribers!)

Also on Thursday, don't miss Justin Earl Grant’s beseech (read my story here), the kick-off event of Collect it Forever by Robert Leroy Hodge and India Lovejoy, and—if you are a member, the Menil Collection's opening of Robert Rauschenberg: Fabric Works of the 1970s.

From there, Houston delivers a jam-packed Friday and Saturday with everything from opera and artist talks to the unveiling of Janice Bond's Bond Contemporary at La Colombe d'Or Hotel, featuring works by Floyd Newsum, Jr.

Round out your weekend on Sunday at Foelber Pottery Gallery & Studio for one of its two receptions celebrating The Pottery Bros (and read my feature article here!).

Whether you’re chasing headline museum moments, neighborhood activations or the energy of the fair, Houston delivers art at every scale. Consider me as your guide to navigating it all!

Scroll on, circle your must-sees, and don’t forget—you'll find even more events on my website.
