Purple Rose Theatre Company Reading: Dirty Legal Secrets
Saturday, Nov. 5 | 10:30am–12:30pm | Adult | Zoom Webinar | Registration required
Tech startups disrupt our lives, our phones, and our privacy. As seen in the media, these businesses are often plagued with egos and scandals. The public, however, cannot access the full truth. Insiders have witnessed legal and moral issues up close. But they are sworn to secrecy. Until now...

Dirty Legal Secrets is based on real life startup lawyer stories. The show follows GC on her tortuous final day working at a tech startup. Friends reminisce with stories of sex (like roof sex, sexual harassment, and an accidental office sex list), drugs (illegal and prescription), and rock and roll (like a t-shirt fire, a coma, and alleged illicit arms trading).
Where Do You Want to See Mobile CDL?
The Chelsea District Library service area encompasses 110 square miles and includes the City of Chelsea, Sylvan and Lyndon Townships, and portions of Lima and Dexter Townships that are within the Chelsea School District. As part of our 2020–23 Strategic Plan, we identified the following barriers to access to library materials and services:
  • Circumstance—Mobility and Disabilities
  • Economic/Transportation Challenges
  • Limited Information & Technology Literacy & Access
  • Physical Distance – Research indicates that proximity to a library increases usage.
With Mobile CDL, we will bring the library to you:
  • We will bridge the digital divide by providing access to technology with Wi-Fi internet access and hands-on training to access the library’s digital tools and services.
  • People will gain access to CDL’s physical and digital collections.
  • Chelsea School District students will have the opportunity to improve literacy skills.
  • Office services like copying, scanning, and faxing will be available.
  • It will emulate the experience users get entering the doors of the library, including the personal engagement with friendly CDL staff.
  • It will be ADA compliant and environmentally friendly.
As we plan for this addition to library services, please help us plan our route and stops by completing a quick survey!
