TRUNK or TREAT 2026

It's really hard to believe that we are in the last week of October, but you know what that means: TRUNK or TREAT is back! This was started several years ago at Midland Valley Community as a family friendly, safe alternative to Halloween. It has grown through the years and is just another wonderful example of how MVC lives out our Mission Statement of "Bringing Christ & People Together...One Piece of Candy at a Time!"

You still have time to sign up for a trunk, or to volunteer at this year's edition of TRUNK or TREAT. While the turnout may not be as large as some in the past (because it is actually on Halloween night), we are expecting a great number of people, especially those right here in our immediate neighborhoods. We have some wonderful testimonies of people that have actually come to Christ, and have become part of our church, because of this community outreach. Join with me in praying that we will again this year be able to impact many families, showing the love of Jesus Christ with a smile, some candy, a free hot dog, popcorn and boiled peanuts!

Join us tonight on campus at MVC as all of our ministries will be in operation. I will be teaching my Wednesday Night Wisdom Class at 6:30PM in the Family Ministry Center. We will be studying the 5th Chapter of the New Testament Book of James.

This coming Sunday is our next First Time Friends Luncheon! If you are new to our church, or are wanting to get further involved, plan to attend a delicious meal (this will be a traditional Thanksgiving Meal), immediately following the 2nd Worship service in the Gym. You will get to meet all of our Pastoral Staff, as well as hear about opportunities for you to get plugged in at MVC.

In closing, let me just say a great big THANK YOU to our church board and congregation for how well you have loved us and blessed us during October, Pastor Appreciation Month. YOU ARE THE BEST!!!

KidsWay Bible Quizzing for 1st-6th graders Sundays @ 3:45pm in KidsWay. Our Children’s Quizzers are growing in their love for God’s Word and learning to hide His Word in their hearts! We’d love for our church family to come alongside and support them as they work toward World Quiz in Kansas City next summer! Join us October 25 at 5:00 PM for Dinner & Quizzing: Kids vs. Pastors! COLLEGE + YOUNG ADULT MINISTRIES @ MVC

• Just a reminder, our college group meets on Wednesday nights in the Youth Worship Room at 8pm. We'll do a brief devotion on a topic applicable to college students, share highs/lows & prayer requests, and end the night eating out together at a nearby restaurant! 

• Young adults that have graduated college-age 40! If you'd like to get plugged into a young adult small group, please contact Pastor Erica at (615) 934-7998 for more information. We meet biweekly in a home to do a Bible study together! 

• We now have a Sunday school class for college students AND young adults! This combination class meets at 9:40am in the Chapel worship room. We are currently using the practice of Lectio Divina to read through the book of James. Come join us for fellowship, breakfast, and discipleship!

Jesus Girls Study Update: Celebration & New Beginnings!

We recently began our exciting new 8-session women's Bible study, "The Names of God." Led by various trusted teachers, this study walks through Scripture to examine the names of the Father, Son, and Holy Spirit. You'll discover the deep impact God's names have on your relationship with Him, inspiring you to worship Him for who He is and transforming your daily life in light of His character. All women are welcome to join!

Bible Babes Bible Study

Bible Babes: Every Tuesday,10:00am in the Chapel (on the hill). Current study is The Book of Colossians by Louie Giglio. Studies are with videos, lots of discussion, & no homework. Goals are to Love each other & mature in Christ. Janey Rule (706) 951-4886.

Operation Christmas Child Shoeboxes

Midland Valley NMI Work & Witness Opportunity



We will host this mission at the Gunter Campground in Batesburg, Nov. 2-6, from 9am–4pm. Lunch provided. We’ll work on a cabin among other projects. Sign up at NMI bulletin board off foyer, or contact Pastor Clay Chipley or Jennifer Chipley (NMI Pres.).

Apologetics Symposium

FISH Ministry is now collecting gallon cans of Green Beans and Corn for our Thanksgiving day meal. Please place cans inside the marked wooden box in the foyer.
