Bringing Community, Creativity, and Compassion Together

Still Waters Adult Day Center is a person-centered, faith-based, and activity-rich center for our seniors. We provide a safe space, Monday through Friday, for seniors to engage with one another, encouraging social, emotional, and physical well-being.

We’ve Been Awarded $125,000 for Dementia Respite Innovation!

We are honored to receive $125,000 from the Alzheimer's Association Center for Dementia Respite Innovation! With this generous support, and the help of additional funding, we're enhancing our dementia-specific respite services by offering 3–4 professional providers daily at Still Waters.

Whether it's fitness, music, or therapeutic support, our mission is simple:

If our guests are unable to attend the service, we bring the service to them.

Every individual deserves to be treated with dignity, compassion, and joy, regardless of a dementia diagnosis. This funding helps us continue to honor that belief every single day.

Follow us on Facebook and Instagram to see the new programs we'll be offering and the incredible impact they're making at our center!

Fall Flower Fundraiser is Blooming!

Our popular flower fundraiser is back, now with stunning fall selections! Support Still Waters by ordering garden mums, ornamental kale, or a beautiful combo planter. Proceeds from this sale help us purchase program materials that enrich the daily lives of our guests.

This fundraiser is through the same trusted company we use for our Spring/Summer flower sale, ensuring you receive excellent quality.

Welcome, Alix – Our New Art Therapy Intern!

We are thrilled to welcome once again an Art Therapy Intern from IU Indianapolis to our Still Waters family! This fall, winter, and spring, Alix will be joining us on Mondays and Tuesdays, bringing creativity, calm, and connection to our guests through therapeutic art experiences.

👋 A Message from Alix:

"Hello! I'm Alix.

I'm currently pursuing my master's degree in art therapy at IU Indianapolis (formerly IUPUI), and I'm very excited to learn about the incredible powers of art. Some of my favorite hobbies include art making, pottery, taking my paddleboard to Eagle Creek Reservoir when it's warm enough, traveling, and caring for my plants. If I were a tree, I would want to be a willow."

Alix's loving presence and passion for using art as a therapeutic tool will be an excellent addition to our programs. We're excited for the creative energy and meaningful engagement she'll bring to our guests.

Please join us in giving her a warm welcome to Still Waters!

Prayer Among Friends

At Still Waters, we witness moments of quiet beauty and deep connection every day, moments that remind us of the power of love, friendship, and faith.

This month, we were humbled to witness one of our guests gently praying over another. No prompting, no planning, just a quiet act of care and compassion. It was a reminder that even amid memory loss or physical challenges, the human spirit shines through in the most powerful ways.

Prayer can lift burdens, bring peace, and connect us in ways words cannot. Whether spoken aloud, whispered in silence, or felt in the touch of a hand, prayer is a language of the heart.

This photo captures more than a moment. It captures the soul of Still Waters...a place where friendship, faith, and grace are always welcome.
