Convictions: What do you believe? It’s such a simple, yet loaded, question. We all believe something about most things. We didn’t come out of the womb with these well-thought-out, deeply structured convictions. We inherited them from our family, learned them in school or at church, and ultimately claimed them as our own. These convictions are the things that shape and inform our everyday experiences and actions within the world. What do you believe? Who do you trust? Your answer to those questions will deeply shape your life.
“You are the Messiah, the Son of the living God.” – Simon Peter to Jesus (Matthew 16:16)

Join us for the 25th Annual Women's Retreat held this year at Cedar Creek Resort in Millersburg. (just 25 mins away) Feb 24-26. Registering early really helps us. We're hoping you're planning to attend, so sign up and let us know! (if you've already registered, thanks so much) It's sure to be an amazing retreat with wonderful women, content, cozy cabins, and a place to walk in the woods. Securing a place off the BCC campus is our meaningful alternate year practice. Sarah Griffith Lund will be our guest presenter. Each attendee will receive a copy of her book Blessed Are The Crazy: Breaking the Silence about Mental Illness, Family, and Church before the retreat to read ahead of time if you desire.

VBS Planning is Underway and We Need You!
This year's theme is all about games. We will be learning about Jesus through the eyes of Peter. Builders, teachers, crafters, music lovers, cooks...we have jobs to meet the skills you offer.
If you would like to be a part of sharing the love of Jesus with children in our community, donate to the Community Chest by volunteering! Enjoy an exciting skit this Sunday and then contact Kate to help.

Calling all Youth Musicians!
Youth Music Ensemble (YME) will resume rehearsals this upcoming Sunday. Rehearsals will be every other week from 12:30-2pm in the music center. An Update on the Broadway Life Newsletter for 2023: The world of communications has grown and shifted as quickly as anything in today’s society. At Broadway, we strive to communicate all that is happening in and through our church in broadening ways. The recent upgrade of our website is a tremendous step in this effort! Please take a look and utilize its offerings as a growing hub of information for all things Broadway.
With the increase of informational provision of our weekly Enews and greater activity on Social Media to convey more timely opportunities for engagement, a shift in our Broadway Life schedule has begun. Keeping sign up and more time sensitive detail to the Weekly, the Broadway Life will assume a wider narrative approach to tell the stories of our ministry in our city and beyond! Including the upgraded formatting of our Annual Report in the summer along with a detailed Advent Edition, expect to receive these essential print pieces six times annually.
Knowing some prefer a monthly print piece to stay engaged over the electronic versions of the Weekly, a monthly print option will remain available for those who request it. Ingrid will print and mail one edition of the Weekly on the months the Broadway Life is not printed and sent to our entire mailing list. Please reach to Ingrid at iluckenbill@broadwaychristian.net if you would like to receive a print version of the Weekly on those off months.
Please do check out our new website and like/follow/share our Social Media pages to not only receive the latest Broadway news yourself but also to share widely with others who may be primed to join our efforts — just waiting for your kind invitation!

Thoughts and Prayers
For Gary Zirrillio, Lori Bernicky, friends and family on the passing of Cindy Zirrillio on January 7. A memorial service is planned at Broadway Christian Church on Saturday, January 28 at 11 am, preceded by a visitation at 10:00 am, and followed by lunch in Fellowship Hall at 12 noon.
For Maxine Ghan, Brent, Cheri, Chris Ghan and family on the passing of Brent's father, Bill, on Sunday, January 15 at the age of 94.
Thank you
Our whole family sends our thanks for the love and support extended to us during the 11 years of Jim's increasing illness. The visits of Mark and Terry and calls of the CareLink Ministry kept us included in the life of Broadway Church.
The very beautiful memorial service and the following luncheon was given to us with so much love.
-Thank you, MaryJane Thorne and family
