March, 2020 Newsletter
A Message from the Maestro:
It's hard to believe it is March and that we are heading into the final stretch for the 2019-2020 concert season! The music has been distributed and we have a great start on the repertoire for the June 7th concert.
 
Concentrate on notes and rhythms. Once we are comfortable with that part, we can begin to shape and make music. Looking forward to seeing what we can accomplish in the month of March!

If you opt out of fundraising this semester, please check with your company or search here to see if it offers a matching gift program that will match your gift or volunteer hours to CVYO!
 
Many companies offer matching gift programs to encourage employees to contribute to charitable organizations. Some provide matching funds to support employee volunteer hours. Most of these programs match contributions dollar for dollar, and some will even double or triple the amount of your gift!

Our all-volunteer Board of Directors is looking for a few new members. This is a special group of people who have a lot of fun and give graciously of their talents to CVYO.
 
Our next full board meeting will be on Tuesday, April 21st, 7pm, held at WPC. If you would like to attend this meeting please email our President Dan Kallen, at dk@cvyo.org.

Bring a Friend-Open Rehearsals on Thursday, April 2nd!

On Thursday, April 2nd, you have the opportunity to
invite fellow musicians to join CVYO in rehearsal!
All they need to do is sign up at our website.
 
We will contact them to let them know when to arrive.
Parents-you are welcome to sit in on rehearsal that day too!
Musician's and Senior's Portraits

This year our volunteer board member, Mr. Syto, will be here to photograph our CVYO musicians on March 5th from 5-8pm.

This is a wonderful opportunity to obtain high-quality digital portrait files of your musician(s) and their instrument. Digital images will be provided for $20 and can be used any way you like. (retouching is not available)

We request that all Seniors be photographed for our June concert program at no cost to you. All other CVYO musicians and families are welcome to have their portraits taken.

Portraits will be taken on a "first-come" basis and should be taken outside of your normal rehearsal time. Be sure to bring your concert attire for the portrait. Just drop in on March 5th and we'll fit you in.

Digital images will be delivered by early April.
