The LRBA Fall Mission Celebration was a blessing!

We welcomed Dr. Danny Akin as our guest speaker. He brought a great message on the Great Commission, reminding us that Jesus' last words are our first command!

It was a great time of worship, mission reports, and recognition of churches and pastors, as we celebrated the great things that God is doing in and through the LRBA. We are so thankful to Pastor Dr. Brad Lee, worship leader Deana Warren, and all of the Piney Grove Chapel team for hosting and serving us in such a marvelous way.

We had 22 senior pastors and 10 staff ministers in attendance - a great blessing - as well as many mission exhibitors and representatives from Baptist agencies.

The love offering for Josh and Betty Stewart, who are NAMB SEND missionaries going to Vancouver, British Columbia, was $1,000.

You may find Dr. Akin's sermon "The Great Commission of the Great King" manuscript here. Below are his 10 points of application. Please prayerfully consider these for your life and for your church.

Practical Applications:

1) Do you have a passport?

2) Are you a member of a Great Commission church?

3) Do you pray daily for unreached and unengaged people groups? (Joshua Project)

4) How often do you go on North American and International Missions?

5) Do you have specific missionaries and people groups you pray for? Your church?

6) Do you pray that your children and grandchildren would become missionaries?

7) Do you give regularly to missions?

8) Do you have a missions savings account for your children and grandchildren?

9) Do you have a Great Commission ministry in your will?

10) Do you ever pray, “Lord, why should I stay?”

Please plan to join us for the pastors' conference on November 10th with Dr. Tim Patrick on pastoral health. Please tune into the Baptist State Convention annual meeting on November 16th-17th in Greensboro.

Every blessing to you in the Lord!
