The Countdown
Has Started!
78 Days until the Gala
1 month until our 1st alum graduates from college

On February 5, 2022, Cristo Rey Atlanta Jesuit will host its bi-annual Rey of Hope Gala at the amazing Delta Flight Museum with entertainment by Electric Avenue: The 80's MTV Experience. Our theme this year is "Flying to New Heights" which is exactly what our Class of 2018 will do as they become our very first alumni to graduate from college during this academic year. At our gala in February, we will honor these determined young men and women who trusted in Cristo Rey, as well as the Founding Corporate Work Study Partners who believed in our mission to provide an excellent Jesuit education and work study experience to these students, helping them get to and through college.

I would be honored if you would support the gala with a sponsorship and join me at the event. If attending is not an option, our team has put together a terrific assortment of ways to get involved. Details are in this newsletter.

Viva Cristo Rey!

During a visit to Notre Dame, I had the pleasure of seeing Montserrat Suarez-Espino (CRAJHS '18) who will graduate from Notre Dame this spring.

Create a Legacy
Our most critical strategic asset, the Cristo Rey Atlanta Jesuit Endowment Fund, is comprised of gifts to the school from those deeply committed to the long-term viability of the Cristo Rey mission and purpose. The Investment Committee of the Board of Trustees carefully monitors the management of these funds to support their intended purpose while protecting the corpus of the gift in perpetuity.

Gifts in support of the Gala of $100,000 or more enable donors to name and direct an endowed fund to a specific school priority or donor interest.

Contact Carol English, Director of Advancement, to discuss making Cristo Rey Atlanta Jesuit part of your legacy.
The Acquisitions Committee needs your help securing items such as tickets to sporting or cultural arts events, premium activities and experiences, jewelry, vacations, weekend trips and more. Please contact Auction Chair Karen Hackett if you have potential donation contacts or items to donate. To donate an item, click here.
Advertising in our event program is an ideal way to congratulate an honoree and show your support of Cristo Rey Atlanta Jesuit while taking your message to a broad range of 500 gala attendees. Everyone from donors, volunteers, and corporate partners will take home a copy. A digital version of the event program will be shared with the greater Cristo Rey Atlanta community (over 5,000 contacts) and will be published on the school website. Click here to advertise
Where Are They Now: Bianca Lopez (CRAJHS 2018)
Bianca Lopez is a senior sociology major at Boston College. Upon graduating from Cristo Rey in 2018, Bianca headed to BC with a merit scholarship. She is a first-generation college student who is on track to graduate in Spring 2022.

This fall, Bianca was selected to lead the BC Kairos Retreat. Bianca drew upon her Jesuit education to help guide her through the process of preparing for and leading the retreat.

During her junior year, Bianca was named a 2021 Paul Chebator & Mer Zovko Ever to Excel award recipient. The award recognizes "excellence in leadership and service, specifically to a junior who embraces the changes embedded in the junior year experience and who has been instrumental in creating community in his or her present environment, whether off-campus, abroad, or on campus."
"During my time at Cristo Rey Atlanta, I learned about the Jesuit values. The idea of being a man or woman for others was something that stuck with me. I have grown to be someone who reflects on her actions and how they impact all my surroundings.”
