Recap: Best-Loved Resources for Providers & Caregivers

In our more than 40 years serving family caregivers, we've developed a vast collection of resources to help improve the lives of caregivers and the people they care for. From articles, classes and video series to collaborative events, webinars, digital tools, support groups and more, FCA's resources are designed to educate, inform and support caregivers as they navigate the caregiving journey.

And because we partner with providers, community organizations, agencies and others who serve caregivers, our resources library includes materials for professionals as well.

Here are some of the resources that our caregiver clients and professional peers reference, download and access again and again. Be sure to bookmark them! (and bookmark our search-friendly website, which contains many more resources).

For Providers:

  • FCA home page for professionals — This dedicated page of professional resources contains tools, trainings, a research registry, and information on advocacy and legislation.
  • Family Caregiver Screening Toolkit — All it takes is two simple questions during your client or patient visits to identify family caregivers and connect them with needed resources.

For Caregivers:

  • Top 17 Resources for Family Caregivers — The 17 most popular resources among hundreds of caregivers we’ve served over the years.
  • CareNav — A personalized, private online dashboard, loaded with resources matching caregivers' specific caregiving needs.
  • Connections Newsletter — Our monthly e-newsletter for family caregivers, full of tips, articles, resources and expert advice on a range of caregiving topics.
  • Self-screening sheet — A handy resource that helps your patients or clients self-identify as a family caregiver and take next steps for assistance. (p.s. this is a great resource to put in your waiting room or lobby!)

For Providers and Caregivers:

  • Services by State — An online resource to help family caregivers anywhere in the U.S. find the resources, information and contact info for caregiver support services in any state. Recently revamped with more resources and new filter and sort functions.
  • Best Programs for Caregiving (BPC) — This is a free online directory of proven support programs for family and friend caregivers of individuals living with dementia. BPC provides detailed info on nearly 50 top-rated programs across the U.S. and is free and easy-to-use for both caregivers and professional providers.

Know a Caregiver Who Wants to Share their Story?

We are looking for a few more family caregivers who are open to talking with reporters and others about their caregiving stories and experiences. You can help us by sharing this 1-page survey with your family caregiver clients!

By helping elevate the voice of family caregivers, we’re hoping to raise awareness about their experiences and help turn that awareness into stronger recognition and support for them.

Please give your caregiver clients the chance to make their voices heard by sharing this link with them today. FCA never sells caregiver contact information — our only goal is to elevate their voices to improve channels of support. Thank you for your help!
