Cultivating Shared Leadership CharityEZ Think Tank

Nonprofit leaders wear many hats; visionary, fundraiser, strategist, HR director, problem-solver, encourager… sometimes all before lunch!

But you don’t have to wear them alone.

You’re invited to join us for an engaging Think Tank on Shared Leadership, led by local nonprofit leaders Michael Larson and Glenna Holstein.

Ask a room of 30 people what makes a good leader, and you might get 30 different answers. That’s part of what makes leading so complex; different people need different things. Even the most capable and intentional leaders can feel the pressure to be everything to everyone: to see every angle, make every decision, carry every responsibility.

It can feel exhausting and not sustainable.

What if leadership didn’t have to rest on one set of shoulders?

In this interactive session, we’ll explore how cultivating shared leadership can:

  • Strengthen your team’s ownership and engagement
  • Distribute responsibility in healthy, empowering ways
  • Increase clarity and trust across your organization
  • Make leadership more sustainable—and more fulfilling

You’ll walk away with practical insights and real-world strategies you can begin applying immediately.

If you’re ready to lead in a way that multiplies capacity instead of draining it, we’d love to have you in the room.

Michael Larson is the Executive Director of the Blue Lotus Center, a nonprofit nature center for people with disabilities and other profound life challenges in West Bend, WI. He has two adult children and a lovely wife, who is also an executive director. If you find yourself sitting next to Mike you could strike up a conversation with him about biology, religion, board games, the nonprofit sector, and/or shared leadership and collaborative teams as an organizational strategy. Or, for that matter, you can bring up whatever is interesting to you… he just likes talking to people.

Glenna Holstein is the Family & Environmental Program Coordinator at Alice's Garden, a community garden and urban farm in Milwaukee, WI. She works at the intersection of community and nature, putting her energy toward efforts that will nurture connections between people and place, help us live more lightly on the earth, and build the kind of world that she wants her daughter, Ella, to grow up in.
