Rice Dike Trail Closed Beginning 7/27/22 for Maintenance and Repairs
The Rice Dike Trail in The Sea Pines Forest Preserve will be closed for maintenance and repairs from Wednesday, July 27th through Monday, August 8th, weather permitting.
Please be advised that the adjacent trail, Boggy Gut Trail, is a walking only trail. Bike traffic wishing to enter The Sea Pines Forest Preserve will need to use the entrance located across from Lawton Stables near Heritage Farm during this project work. Please click on the map below for reference.

Asphalt Repairs
Beginning Wednesday, July 27th, Sea Pines CSA's contractor will be conducting asphalt repairs along select areas of Isle of Pines Drive, South Sea Pines Drive, Gull Point Road, and in the Lawton Woods area, weather permitting. Staff will be on site to assist with traffic control, as needed.

Drainage System Maintenance
Our drainage maintenance system is a critical component in protecting the investments of our property owners. Our goal is to minimize potential flooding and identify low lying areas by continuously monitoring and scouting for potential issues.

Stormwater Maintenance
Line jetting on Governors Road will begin the week of July 25th, weather permitting. This process cleans sediment from drainage pipes to improve flow.

Sea Pines CSA Mosquito Treatment
Our next mosquito treatment will take place on Monday, July 25th, during overnight hours, weather permitting.

Tree Care Management
Roadway tree trimming along side streets off North Sea Pines Drive (Red Cardinal Road, Whistling Swan Road, Spotted Sandpiper Road) will begin the week of July 25th, weather permitting.

|
Stormwater Repairs
Drainage pipe end cleaning on Stoney Creek Road near Lighthouse Road is in progress and will continue through next week, weather permitting.

Safety Reminder: Remove the Opportunity for Theft by Securing your Vehicle |

- Lock your doors and roll up your windows.
- Remove personal belongings from plain view or take them with you when leaving vehicles unattended.

Land Use Rules and Regulations Reminders
- Bright exterior lighting may not be left on for extended periods, and/or after 10 PM. In no case shall they shine into a neighbor’s residence or property.

Hurricane Preparedness: Prepare Your Home, Build Your Emergency Kit |
|
You can take steps to minimize the loss of life or property during a hurricane. Remember, if a hurricane occurs, emergency responders may not be able to immediately reach you. You should be prepared to be self-sustaining for at least three days.
Prepare Your Home
Do a safety check to make sure your home is best able to withstand the effects of a hurricane. Have your roof inspected, double check hurricane shutters and make sure your insurance policies cover the types of damages hurricanes can cause. Make a list and take photos of your belongings as records.
Emergency Supplies Kit
It is important to keep enough supplies in your home to meet the needs of your family for at least three days. Assemble a Family Emergency Kit with items you may need in an emergency or evacuation. Store these supplies in sturdy, easy-to-carry containers such as suitcases, duffle bags or covered storage containers.
