I hope this message finds you safe and healthy during these difficult and uncertain days. I know you are concerned for our clients and care about the pets of those who are homeless.
We are closely following the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) and their updates, including
this guidance
saying that encampment residents and those living outdoors should not be forced into a congregate shelter or further displaced. For the time being, it is much safer for un-housed folks to stay in their tents, and for cities to provide restrooms and hand washing stations.
Together, we are facing a truly unprecedented situation. And together we will get through this. The COVID-19 pandemic is affecting us all: our employees and their families, the nonprofit community, our neighbors, and the homeless population.
While our desks may be empty, know that we are keeping up with the many calls for emergency care for pets still coming in from the homeless community.

Your help in any amount at this time will ensure that pets of the homeless who are the most at risk get our help.
Thank you for your trust in Feeding Pets of the Homelessā¢. We hope that you are safe and stay well.
