GREAT EXCITEMENT,
ONGUMA CAMP KALA OPENS!
Managing Director, Fritz Vorster says: Camp Kala was conceptualized to push some of the boundaries in the Namibian luxury hospitality industry. Our view has always been that space, privacy and memorable experiences define “the new luxury”.
Built on the same site as the old Onguma Tree Top, this new camp raises the benchmark to a new level. Camp Kala offers just four suites, each with a view of the active waterhole and its own deck, sun loungers, cooling plunge pool, wood-fired hot tub (burning invasive tree species). Along a short walkway there is a private, shaded Sala with king-size outdoor day bed, or evening star bed. 
The central guest areas offer a relaxing lounge with cocktail bar, dining area with interactive “show” kitchen, and a deck with a fire pit overlooking the waterhole which happens to be one of three natural springs on the property. When guests are not enjoying activities such as game drives and interpretive bush walks, they can while away the hours in complete comfort in the water-level photographic hide, take in a spa treatment or practice yoga & meditation on the yoga deck. For those who want a little more activity, there is a fully equipped and air-conditioned gym.
