Dear Friends of Indigena,

It is with great pleasure that we welcome back Canadian jewellery artist Lisa Ridout for a special visit. A multi-talented artist, Lisa has been designing and creating her unique line of mainly sterling silver chainmaille jewellery for over 30 years.

We hope to see you in the gallery on Friday and Saturday, the 17th and 18th, to visit with the artist and to also view additional jewellery that Lisa will exhibit.

In her own words, "The traditional skill of chain making is a delicate and time-consuming craft. The chain is entirely handmade by drawing silver into wire form of varied thicknesses, then turning and weaving rings into delicate patterns."
